With the experience they received from owning and operating several businesses in their 31 years of marriage, Lyle and Janis purchased and opened up The Windows Inn Bed & Breakfast Retreat Center.
Lyle and Janis both were raised in a rural Iowa community and know all about small towns. They moved to Jacksonville, Florida 21 years ago while Iowa was going through much hardship. While in Florida they owned and operated Lewis Enterprises, a repair, maintenance and remodeling business, while operating a lawn maintenance business on the side. They have also been heavily involved with environmental issues and became involved with Ecoquest, as representatives desiring to equip customers with information concerning air and water filtration equipment.
Lyle and Janis have been excited to finally move back to a smaller community where they are not lost in the crowd and driving is relaxing instead of stressful. They both have made this a joint venture in the operation of running and overseeing every aspect of business connected with The Windows Inn, from the kitchen to guestrooms to garden and back. They enjoy providing good ole southern hospitality and make it their priority to make each stay enjoyable for all their guest.
